10 January 2009 - 15:30Where does your inspiration come from?

Daniel Patrick Kessler

On a business trip in Oct, I spent the weekend in Paris.  While there I bought painting from an art student - on the right above.  After a small amount of research, it seems clear where his/her inspiration came from.  On the left is a painting by Daniel Kessler, a Washington DC base artist.  Agree?

30 December 2008 - 13:03Seymour Butz…Flying Buttresses that is

In late October I went on a two week business trip to Europe…UK, France (twice), Finland (twice), Germany and Switzerland.  Here are Lisa’s favorite images for Paris.  The Flying Buttresses are an architectural necessity to strengthen the wall allowing for over sized windows.

29 December 2008 - 18:08Abi Visits Greensboro

In early December, Abi came to visit Lisa and I here in Greensboro.  Oh, almost forgot that Keva, Brent and Eric were here also.  We had a blast!  What a wonderful baby…she might have fussed for all of 2 minutes the entire weekend, even hanging out with us ’til 10:PM or so at Fishbone’s!

29 November 2008 - 14:50Delta Flagship Route, DL1 JFK-LHR

Typically, airline reserve flight number “1″ for their flagship route.   After obtaining several Heathrow slots from Air France, Delta inaugurated DL1 from JFK to LHR (London Heathrow).  Recently I had the opportunity to travel on DL1.   For me, the über aviation geek, it was quite enjoyable.
