23 May 2008 - 11:44Running in-sole

I’ve been running for over 20 years, luckily injury free for the most part.  The only injury I had was a nasty bout with Plantar Fasciitis.  Also known as a heel spur, it is not skeletal related but rather an inflammation (sometimes severe) of the fibrous material that forms the arch in your foot.

When I came down with plantar fasciitis I had to take 6 weeks off from running.  For me that was an awfully long time not to run.  When I did return, I began using orthotics from SofSole.  Since then I have been running pain free.  Well at least foot pain free.  They are also available at Road Runner Sports

14 May 2008 - 11:25Introducing…

Abigail Eren Yurtkuran born 09-May-2008, 6lb 1oz

My brother and sister-in-law, Brent & Keva, welcomed beautiful Abi on Friday afternoon.  It seems Abi was a bit anxious to meet her family as she insisted on arriving a couple weeks early.  For those of you who know Brent, you know that Abi’s gets her lack patience from her father.

Lisa & I are thrilled for Brent, Keva & Abi and feel like the proudest aunt & uncle of all time.
