I’m not sure if anything can beat cooking with fresh herbs.   Here are two terrific resources for gardening seeds and in particular for herb gardens.

Good country ham is difficult to find.  Perhaps no longer.  Check out Benton’s "Smoky Mountain Country Hams"  The bacon and prosciutto look quite yummy as well.

• Barcelona – La Boqueria, widely considered to be Europe’s most beautiful market.  Breakfast at Bar Pinotxo is a must.
• Beijing – Dong Hua Men, dates back to 1655 with Dozens of food stalls with screaming vendors characterize this noisy street market, which offers everything from fish and roasted meats to vegetables and noodles.
• London – Borough Market
• Marrakech – Djemma el Fna, another night market (similar to Dong Hua Men)  It is a cultural mix of color, sight and sound and is one of the liveliest attractions in Morocco.
• Munich – Viktualienmarkt, beer garden + food market…does is get any better?
• New York – Union Square Market
• Paris – La rue Cler, Paris has over 80 markets however La rue Cler stands hot for the foodie tourist
• San Francisco – Ferry Building
• Tokyo – Tsukiji Fish Market, my favorite destination in Tokyo.  Tsukji is the largest fish market in the world.  The surrounding restraunts serve the freshest sushi you’ll find anywhere.
• Venice – Rialto Market, The daily fruit and veg market of Rialto is a colourful way to see the bustling buyers of daily produce.
